چکیده

SUMMARY Spreading sequences with appropriate negative auto-correlation can reduce average multiple access interference (MAI) in asyn-chronous DS/CDMA systems compared with the conventional Gold Sequences generated by linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs). We design spreading sequences with negative auto-correlation based on Gold sequences and the chaos theory for the Bernoulli map. By computer simulations , we evaluate BER performances of asynchronous DS/CDMA systems using the proposed sequences.

Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems

Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

Multilevel Chaos-based Ds-cdma System with Improved Performance

This paper investigates the chaos-based asynchronous direct sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system performance optimization in accordance with spreading sequences set. The multiple access interference (MAI) power is estimated for conventional matched-filter receiver scheme, under the standard gaussian approximation (SGA) hypothesis, and minimized with respect to the auto-correl...

Generation of Binary Sequences with good AIP using the Logistic Map - Application to DS-CDMA Decorrelating Receiver

Recently, sequences generated by nonlinear dynamical systems have been considered in CDMA spread spectrum application and it has been shown that they can behave better than classical ones. In almost all cases, classical criterium have been considered to design good spreading sequences, they are based on periodic or aperiodic correlation functions, like Figure Of Merit or Maximal Correlation Pic...

Binary De Bruijn sequences for DS-CDMA systems: analysis and results

Code division multiple access (CDMA) using direct sequence (DS) spread spectrum modulation provides multiple access capability essentially thanks to the adoption of proper sequences as spreading codes. The ability of a DSCDMA receiver to detect the desired signal relies to a great extent on the auto-correlation properties of the spreading code associated to each user; on the other hand, multi-u...

Design of Spread-Spectrum Sequences Using Chaotic Dynamical Systems and Ergodic Theory

A new-design methodology for the design of optimal spread-spectrum sequences for asynchronous code-division multiple acces (A-CDMA) and chip-synchronous CDMA (CS-CDMA) systems is proposed. We derive general results on the partial auto-correlation function of the optimal spreading sequences for CS-CDMA and A-CDMA systems with respect to the minimization of the average bit error rate under the st...
